4 steps

1 Create your Worker

$ npm create cloudflare@latest my-app

Scaffolds a new Worker project with TypeScript, Wrangler, and local dev ready to go.

2 Add a KV namespace

$ npx wrangler kv namespace create MY_KV

Creates a global key-value store and wires the binding into your project automatically.

3 Use KV in your Worker

};

Write and read from KV directly in your Worker via the env.MY_KV binding.

4 Start developing

$ npx wrangler dev

Your Worker is now running locally with full access to your KV namespace.
